Homestudy Interview!

So this afternoon we had our homestudy interview with our social worker. We had already each written individual autobiographies for our social worker which she reviewed and asked specific questions from during the interview. Because we were so detailed on our autobiographies the interview went smoothly and only took two hours (instead of up to four!)

So now what?

We have a few more documents we need to get together and sent to our social worker that she needs to include in her homestudy report. We are hoping to get these in the mail to her by the end of the week!

It will take approximately a month for our social worker to finish our homestudy report. It could take longer if she doesn't have all of the needed paperwork in that time frame, which the only thing not up to us is our fingerprints and FBI report. We went last Friday and got our fingerprints taken, so it is just a matter of them getting the report to her.

Once our homestudy is complete we will be able to start applying for grants for our adoption and we'll begin fundraising in earnest. We will also begin paperwork for filing with immigration for our child's visa.

Specific Prayer Requests:
-That our social worker will receive our fingerprints and FBI report in the next week! Its been one week already!
-For our homestudy to be completed by March 28th!
-As always, for our child, that he is being loved and well taken care of!
-For us, to have patience as we will do lots of waiting in this process!
