Holidays

We really missed being home for the holidays this year. It was hard being here, it didn't even feel like Christmas. I think we've decided to do Christmas on a small scale once we get home. Regardless we missed out on the family Christmas', and missed seeing all of our family.

Now we are running into Ukrainian holiday's. We were hoping to have already had our court date at this point so our 10 day waiting period would fall over their holiday week. However, things haven't gone as planned, and now we're really needing to get things going, and we can't due to people taking vacation time for the holiday's.

Right now everything has been put on hold. The guy we need to sign off on the separation is on vacation and will not return until January 2 or 3. One guy, one signature, and now nothing can be done. So extremely frustrating.

Their biggest holiday over here is New Year's. They do it up big. Then on January 7/8 is their Christmas celebration.

So now we wait more, with nothing happening. We are trying not to get down, but we have been over here for almost a month, and we are exhausted and just ready to be home, and now we face even more delays.

We are now hoping for a January 9 or 10 court date.

So now we will continue to battle our boredom, and spend the few hours we can with -R- each day.

The snow here had just melted, and it started snowing again last night. It snowed almost all day here. I would say we have almost 6 inches. It is beautiful and has provided a small consolation to a rather down day.

Cavin now says snow!
